Truelly Enchanted Kingdom lives up to it's name as we spent our day full of laughter, joy, excitement, fun and not to mention a lot of adrenaline (courtesy of the EKstreme Rides). Going to Enchanted Kingdom is a dream come true for me as I grew up always wanting to go there. Now Im going
to share to our experience at EK.
The group's plan was to wake up early in the morning and arrive at Enchanted Kingdom by 8 AM but just like any plans it usually doesnt go down as planned. We ended waking up one by one from 9 AM - 10 AM (Simultaneaous Waking Routine). Our plan was to leave our apartment at 11 AM but alas we ended up leaving at 11:30 AM. So we boarded a jeepney to Turbina (15 php) and rode another jeepney ride to Balibago Sta. Rosa (36 Php). We unboarded the jeepney at Walter Sta. Rosa and we decided to eat there because some of us didnt have the time to eat breakfast. It was already past 12 NN when we got there and I did not expect to see a lot of people waiting in line. It did not took as too long to wait though because we have the ever reliable Jethro to hassle his way to get us tickets. The regular day pass costs 500 php while the Student Day Pass costs 380 php. From our group only 3 are students while the rest of us are already working but we still managed to bring out some school related ID to get the discount. Pretty smart and lucky of us.... but there was one of us who left all of his ID home so he was to pay 500 for the tickets. Lets just hide him with the pseudoname Leover Labor. Hohoho. Yes! If you have read my previous blog, he is the same Leo in the Pinoy Henyo Game.

We finally went in and the magic started as the place transformed us into little excited kids. We just cant stop from being amazed as a constant "Wow" keeps on coming out of our mouth. Enough for the sight seeing and lets start conquering the rides.
First Stop: EKstreme Tower
We have just entered EK and we noticed a very tall tower (around 150 Feet) so we decided to try the ride because it looked scary. We just waited for a few minutes for our turn. We were asked to place ourselves on seats attached around the tower. After being strapped in, the seats would slowly ascend.
Me at 10 Feet: Ohh.. This is Fun.. Hahaha..
Me at 50 Feet: Wow.. This is so high..
Me at 100 Feet: %^&* when is it going to stop..
Me at 125 Feet: .................... Amen!
Me at 150 Feet: (Silence).... Waahhh. (Screaming for dear life)
You would be raised above for 150 Feet and at the peak of the tower the seats would drop instantly leaving your soul above. The drop was so fast that you cant even scream. That is why the only time you would hear people scream is at the end of the ride. We just laughed after unboarding the ride. This ride is a must if you plan to visit EK.
Tip: Scream your lungs out and dont shut your eyes.
Second Stop: Anchors Away
After having our senses back, we walked around the park to look for another adventure and there we saw the lovely Anchors Away. If you want to picture out the ride just imagine a boat and a swing then mix them up and you will surely have an Anchors Away. The line for this ride was so long that I guess we waited for an hour for our turn. When our turn was close we could hear the people screaming but we just laughed thinking they must be exaggerating. Its our turn and its our time to regret laughing at the people who rode before us. Me and my Friends seated at the tip of the boat (For Better Camera Shots). The ride started smoothly. I was feeling safe but as more swings passed by I noticed I was higher than before. Things happened so fast that I noticed I was holding at the safety bar as if my life depended on it. It even came to a point that I felt parallel to the ground. I have to scream to relieve myself and I was relieved more to see my friends screaming too. The ride continued to swing higher and faster and I was just wishing the ride would stop. The ride went slow until its over and I would put this ride as the Best Ride ever. I felt more adrenaline in this ride than the EKstereme Tower.
Tip: Trying sitting at the tip of the boat because that is the best seat of the ride.

Third Stop: Space Shuttle
We have not yet recovered from Anchors Away when I just realized I was falling in line for the Space Shuttle ride. Curse Jethro for making us line there. While waiting for our turn we looked at the ride go 360 degrees and plunging on a near 45 degree angle. My heart was pounding just as looking at other people ride. The line for this ride was so long too but lucky for us the line built up after us. It just startled me because I was feeling nervous while children (10-13 years old) are so excited they are jumping up and down while waiting in line. I just assumed that they have not yet seen the Film, Final Destination, that is why I can't even see fear in them. I envy those kids at that time. It was our turn and I still could not believe I was on the ride already. The ride would be slowly dragged backwards on a steep rail. The ride have not yet started but I was releasing my tension by screaming (I just mimicked the people beside me as they were also screaming already). Then next thing I heard was a loud click and there we go plunging so fast. I cant even tell if I was holding my breath on purpose or I really couldnt breathe during the plunge. The first roll came and I knew the 360 Degree loop is fast approaching. I just braced myself helplessly I was tossed and tumbled without control. Everybody is screaming. Then we stopped at the tip of the rail. It was time to go backwards. I personally think going backwards on the ride was more scary. I really could not keep my eye on a single place. All I can see was my shoes (I guess I was staring at it the whole time of the ride). After the ride, we just laughed as if it was a defense mechanism to ease our tension. The ride had a bad effect on the boys as we decided not to take another ride on the space shuttle while the girls really enjoyed the ride asking for another ride. Be my guest girls. Ride all you while we boys just stare at you at a safe place called "Ground".
Tip: Scream all you can. If you are scared just stare at your shoes.

Fourth Stop: Rio Grande Rapids
As of now we rode three EKstreme rides in a row. I was surely proud but I guess we all need a break. We took a little break away from further eKstreme rides so we decided to try the Rio Grande Rapids. Just like the other rides the line was long but the good thing is the line is moving fast. I felt my innards was not in place anymore after taking the Space Shuttle ride so it was a relief to try a safer ride. "Expect to get wet on this ride" a phrase written on a board beside the ride. Would I really get wet on this ride? Its time to find out because it is already our turn. The ride started by slowly riding calmer rapids when suddenly it all became rough. The next thing I knew someone was already wet on our ride (Evidences can be seen on photos). The ride went on as we laughed and enjoyed the ride. Not unlike the previous rides, fear was not present on this one. The ride was almost half way through when we noticed there was a waterfall right on top of the ride's path. I was sure that it is intended to shower an innocent victim with pond water. I was feeling sure I was not the one that would get the shower because I was at the other side of the ride when suddenly it twisted enough to put me at the shower. The next I knew my hair and upper part of my body was soaking with water. The ride did not end there. The rapids would become wilder at the end splashing everybody on the ride with bad smelling pond water. The ride would end up being guided up by a conveyor belt back to the where we started. I was not the only victim of the waterfall as the other group's ride went I saw Leo on an even worse state. The ride was so fun it washed away the bad effect of the Space Shuttle ride on me.
Tip: Just make sure you are lucky enough to dodge the waterfall.

Fifth Stop: Jungle Log Jam
We were all wet already so we decided it was the right time to ride the Jungle Log Jam. Another water ride. The line for the ride was also long (nothing new here). Having a long line has some advantages. It would give you time to dry up from a wet ride. By the time we got our turn, I was already dry from Rio Grande. The ride started smoothly. It even felt like a kiddie ride but our log started to ascend and I had a bad feeling about this (What comes up must go down). I have been deceived. The ride included a plunge and it felt like Anchors Away. The fun part about the ride is the presence of water thus there is a chance that you could get wet.
Tip: Don't let the looks fool you. It's also a must ride when you visit EK.

Pit Stop: Eating Time
Who wouldn't get hungry after those rides. It was already dark and we really need to find (Cheap) food. Unfortunately the word cheap is absent inside the park. The prices for food are higher than usual but we already expected that so we have no choice but to eat 70 php Hotdogs and drink 50 php Softdrinks. It was a rest well earned and so we sitted and chilled for a little while.
Tip: Just prepare extra cash in case you are a person that easily gets hungry.
Sixth Stop: Flying Fiesta
We really thought we could not ride this one because when we first got there, a routine maintenance is on going but luckily as I was looking around for the Horror House, I saw the maintenance sign on the Flying Fiesta being taken off. Woot2x! So there we are waiting for out turn. Personally Im really not a fun of revolving rides because I easily get dizzy with this kind of rides but what the heck Im not going to waste the opportunity (not to mention sayang ang bayad. Hohoho!). I rode a similar ride at Oval Plaza, Gensan so I know what to expect but the Flying Fiesta's seats looks higher compared to the one in Gensan. The ride would simply revolve the seats around. We just laughed our way out when the ride was over and we branded the ride as a Super Kiddie Ride.
Tip: Just dont do some crazy stuff while on your seat and you will be ok.

Seventh Stop: Horror House (I forgot the Real Name)
I really put an effort in finding this place. This place would really be hard to find even with a map. We even went to the "PeTREEfied House" thinking that was the horror house. That was really funny though but enough with that. Inspite of early warning to us that the place was boring and inspite the fact that we have to pay another 50 php just to enter the darn house, we insisted to try the place out of the belief that fear and horror varies from each person. I could remember taking our time walking around the Horror House just to make our pay worth it but the staff there (even the suppose to be monsters) kept on reminding us to move forward. One memorable thing that happened there was on the hanging bridge. I was walking at the front of the group when I noticed some of my friends fell on the floor. It was Gene and Charade lying on the floor as if they were scared to death but the truth is they fell on the floor because of unstoppable laughter. The place really needs to improve as it would be better to call it laughter house than horror house. We came out of the place laughing very hard. I wont regret paying 50 php because the fact is we enjoyed the place but Im a little disappointed because we paid the place to make us feel scared not to make us laugh to death.
Tip: If you dont easily get scared just skip this one.
Eight Stop: The Simon and Silver Magic Show
I really couldn't remember anymore when was the last time I saw a live Magic Show so I insisted on watching the show because it seemed interesting and fun. It was cold inside Eldar's Tent but the mood was great because of the decors and the light show. The show started with a light show followed by dancing people with flashlights and then the magic started when both magicians suddenly appeared from nowhere (Actually I think they came from the huge box but that has yet to be proven). Both magician are good dancers too as they let us see them do the "Robot". The tricks they made was somewhat familiar because I already saw it on television but seeing it live was made the tricks interesting and fun. The magicians made a woman float, twisted a man's head, removed someone's underwear but the most interesting trick was when the magician went inside the box on the stage then popped up right behind us. The finale was an escape trick. Silver (a crush of Charade) went inside a tank full of water. Silver was handcuffed and the tank was locked making it look impossible for him to escape there in just two minutes. All people standed on their seat just to get a better view as Silver tried to escape. It ended up with Silver escaping the tank just after the time was over. Thrilling and Exciting.
Tip: Just set aside your doubts and believe there is magic so that you can enjoy the show.

Ninth Stop: Up, up and Away
Yes we know. Up, up and Away is a certified kiddie ride but we can't help it. We have to try each ride we see especially if the line is short. Up, Up and Away is similar to the Flying Fiesta. The only difference is you will be sitted on a hot air balloon instead. The hot air balloons would circle around for a while. The speed of the ride was not that fast too so it would be a great ride for kids. The ride finished just on time for us to settle for the upcoming Fireworks Display. No matter how simple or complicated the ride is, it would always be fun if you are with your friends.
Tip: Try this ride if your short on time because the line here is usually short.

Tenth Stop: Fireworks Display
We were really exited for this one because everybody who went to EK said we should try to watch their Fireworks Display because it is so nice. We settled right in front the Grand Carousel and the Fireworks Display started. Oh! To our dismay we were on the wrong place for the Fireworks Display. Our view was not the best but it was fine. We were still amazed by the show and truelly it was magical (Thanks to the mood set-up by background music). The show lasted for several minutes (Maybe around 3-4 minutes) but it seemed long. I was like looking at visualizations on your windows media player. The experience was unforgettable.
Tip: I think the best spot for the fireworks display is somewhere near Eldar's Tent

Eleventh Stop: Dodgem
After the Fireworks Display we dashed to the Wheel of Fate trying to beat other people for the ride but we were too late. When we arrived there we were very far behind the line. We just decided to try their bump cars. The line for Dodgem was not that long maybe all the people in EK was lining for the Wheel of Fate. I really like bump cars because I love bullying other people's cars. When it was our turn we scrambled like little kids trying to find a vacant bump car. When the controls were up, I was feeling like a professional driver as I breezed around the track and bullied several of my friends. The ride seemed so short as it was already over by the time I was about to bump one of my friends.
Tip: Try to avoid hitting a car on a crowded area because there is a huge possibility that all of you would be stuck on one place.

Twelfth Stop: Roller Skater
It was already getting late and we only have a few time left for rides so we jumped to the line of the nearest ride and the would be the Roller Skater. Roller Skater is a smaller version of the Space Shuttle (Looks safer too). The ride would only last a minute and a half. Not long enough to give us an adrenaline rush. The ride was fun and I would brand it as a kiddie ride. It would be a good idea to ride this one before riding the Space Shuttle so you can prepare yourself for a much meaner ride.
Tip: Ride this before Space Shuttle.

Thirteenth Stop: Wheel of Fate
Wow. It was only by this time that I realized that we have already tried (13) thirteen attractions in EK. Wheel of Fate is one of the classics. An amusement park would not be complete without a Ferris Wheel. Some say the height of the ride is at 130 feet but I doubt it because it seemed higher than the EKstreme Tower. I have a slight fear of height. I dont easily get comfortable on a high place but I would get use to it after a while. Luckily I was not the only one with the fear of height. Jethro and Yan2x also froze inside the gondola when the ride started. I was holding on the pole trying to avoid the gondola from swaying and turning. We all got hyped up by the ride because we can clearly see the lights around the amusement park. The view was great and the wind was cold. It was not relaxing but it was fun in a distinct way. It was great we tried the Wheel of Fight on the evening. The ride would only last for 3 turns and the gondola would start to unload after that. When loading and unloading everybody would get a chance to stay on the peak of the ride for a while. Just imagine us frozen solid on the peak of the ride while one of our friends (Leo) was shaking the ride. It was a relief to touch the ground again.

Fourteenth Stop (Last Stop): Rio Grande Rapids again
It was almost twelve midnight when we went down from the Wheel of Fate. Knowing we only have one chance left to ride anything. We agreed to dash our way towards Rio Grande Rapids for another try. I dont know if that was a smart choice because I remembered getting wet from the ride. I dont want to go home wet but I felt lucky thinking it could not happen twice in a row. We got their just in time as they were about to cut the line. We knew what to expect from the ride and we were all excited. It was our turn and we buckled up for the ride. The ride started and it seemed faster and the current seemed stronger. It was also more fun to ride during night time than riding on day time. I was praying not to get wet but it seemed impossible not to get wet in this ride. Splashes went inside our ride as it continues on its path. The waterfall is close and I could feel the excitement as it becomes closer. Our group passed by the waterfall safely. The ride went on until we reached the end. I was not as wet as my first time. We waited for the second group and guess what. It was really Leo's day because by the time they got out of the ride, I noticed a very wet Leo. Hohoho. Leo looked as if he took a shower during the ride.
It was time to leave EK. Its sad but we really need to go. We dont want the guard to drag us outside the park. It was a fun-filled day. It would be long before I could visit the park and I hope there would be new attractions when I return. We have just survived EK and we are happy about it.
