It was a sunny monday and it was a perfect day to go out. We planned to go to Jose Rizal's House in Calamba but we think it would be closed because it is a holiday or it would be just too crowded. That's why we just decided to go to SM Calamba to unwind and go window shopping.
The trip to Calamba, Laguna from Sto. Tomas, Batangas would take 45 minutes or an hour depending on the traffic congestion near Calamba. So we took a jeepney (as always) to Calamba and got their about an hour before noon. We went in the mall and were amazed and partially confused when we saw a swarm of soldiers inside the mall. Walking towards the center of the mall we saw various displays of military equipments like guns, uniforms, guns, old radios, and have I mentioned there are guns. My eyes sparkled after seeing those M16 and M14 waiting at the table to be picked up by anyone. So I went in the line to have the chance to hold some of the displays. And look what I got a hold of.

But wait. There is more. They actually had a small show going on when we arrived at the mall. Several Men in Uniform are singing and playing some oldies and new songs. There was also a marching band that was really amazing. Given the small space they still made a good performance. Different formations made the performance more amazing and the transitions was a bit flawed but still it was great. Have a look at the marching band.
To finish our day with our brave Filipino Soldiers, we posed with one of their live mannequins. No matter what distraction you do to the live mannequins, they wont budge even for a bit. Thank you for the service our Filipino Soldiers are rendering to our country.
